"Earth Day 2010 is a pivotal opportunity for individuals, corporations and governments to join together and create a global green economy. Join the more than one billion people in 190 countries that are taking action for Earth Day."
Not sure how I'll be "taking action" today. I'm interested to see what's going on in the city today (NYC).

This week I've been thinking @ things I WILL start/continue to "do my part" ongoing. It seems so overwhelming like my lifestyle changes (diet, exercise), I'm breaking it down into baby steps. I read in the Sunday AJC that Target set up recycle bins. Glass, aluminum and plastic - I'll separate my plastic and haul it to Target. (It's too far to walk so I'll have to drive). I have to start recycling my newspapers and stop throwing them in the garbage! That's a must. Bring my own bags to Whole Foods. I have the bags but always forget them. OK so here's my start - recycle plastic & newspapers and reuse my own bags @ supermarket. Simple so I think I can stick with this. Throughout the day, I hope I'll come up with a longer list.........
What are you doing on Earth Day?
We are lucky where I live that they provide a recycle bin for the home & it is picked up each week. My recycle bin is always way more full than my trrash one! I also take my own bags to the market. We can all make a difference.
